Tips for Choosing Awesome Zumba Footwear

Zumba is renowned for its body shaping fitness programs that blend hot Latin dances with numerous cardiopulmonary exercise, various environments (in water), and even martial arts. Professionals know this activity covers many activities that affect the feet. Choosing the most efficient dance slash workout shoe is important for safety, balance, and comfort. These tips will help you choose the perfect Zumba shoe.

The Bend

An arch, the raised a part of the foot is made up of tendons, ligaments, and connecting bones. It is a multifarious set up of shared oblique and longitudal bends. It usually absorbs a bulk of the impact a foot endures. You may need to recognize the peak of your arch if you would like to seek out the shoe that is most accommodating for you.

Low

These versatile arches have a tendency to cause over rotation of the heel when the foot strikes the bottom. This can cause heel pain or joint discomfort of the ankle. Motion-control is that the key with these flat bottoms. Folks with low arches need to limit the motion of the ankle whereas adding provision to the facet of the bottom as they ballroom dance, to keep from damaging tendons. Typically someone with low or no bend have wider feet. These shoes vary wide for supplemental comfort and control.

Medium

Also called the conventional arch, it is the common curve for many folks. It is also the best type for correct ankle alignment and rotation of the foot as you dance the pounds away on the Zumba floor. The regular arch needs a shoe that delivers general stability. This reinforcement can allow the foot to handle the strength of unexpected movements and impacts, while not hampering your performance. This makes it simple for you to Samba your way into great shape.

High

This is considered a slight deformity that produces less expanse by the foot because of a high bow. This condition could feel as if you are constantly fighting for balance, due to the pressure of concentrated weight on the heel and the ball of the foot. This leaves the arch to endure more of the blow. Too much pressure on this region of your pads could cause what is called the sunken arch or flat foot. It occurs when the arch collapses. The condition can be caused by sinew wound or overexertion This can cause painful inflammation and problems implementing various activities. Those
who have a high arch writhe from under pronation, which can be agonizing for the lower body. For max support, a softer mid-sole shoe is appropriate. This can be found in footwear that incorporates a thicker insole that absorbs the jolt, making for better body swaying reinforcement.

Comfort and style

Comfort is an athlete’s best unbroken secret. It provides strength to weak areas and for your feet while allowing relaxation, which is crucial. Comfort allows you to focus on your moves instead of worrying about the blisters forming on your Achilles’ tendon.

Finding the correct footwear for your Zumba workout is important to the health and stability of your feet, ankles, and joints. Enhancing awareness of your chiropody needs can provide insight on the way to opt for the right shoe.

Wardrobe Basics: Must-haves For Men

Fashion is a ever-changing industry that prospers upon the next clothing revolution. However, the normal man is not exactly spellbound by the fashions of the runway. They want comfort and suitability, with an easy-going yet bold style.

The Power Suit

Whether you are looking for the next position or pulling that 9 to 5, a striking power suit will give you the self-assurance you need to make the deal or the nerve to ask for that much needed raise. Let them know you are serious with a black or navy colored suit. The grey shades are looking fashionable this season as well. The great thing about a solid suit is that you can simply perk it up with a vibrant tie.

Khakis

Khakis carry a neutral and refined look that can be enhanced for a semi-formal look or thrown together with a polo style shirt and you are set for play time with the kids at the park. The khaki’s versatile look is universal and conforms to the look you desire. No closet is whole without a pair to link your garments.

Loafers

Loafers are convenient slip on shoes that range in styles from casual to business. They look trendy with shorts and sock are optional. They have many names like, ponies and penny loafers, which were given because people would place pennies in the fold on the top of the shoe (obviously a long time ago) to save for pay phone calls.

White Button-up

A casual, short or long sleeved white button-up (or down) shirt will bridge every look by carrying a style for endless options. Choose a shirt that portrays your personality, as there are numerous varieties to choose from such as, preppy, formal, or casual.

Shades

Guard those baby blues by reflecting glare in style, with a tasteful pair of sunglasses. They add charm to your demeanor and are inexpensive. Whatever your taste, you gotta wear shades to add flare to your look. Be sure to go for quality glasses to ensure that they shield the eyes from any powerful illumination such as UV rays.

Leather Jacket

Leather jackets are the cultural models of clothing that merge comfort and style to any outfit. They have rode on celebrity coat tails to the hall of fashion fame. This must-have is sure to excite any look and give you a little attitude with it. The coat makes jeans classy and gives you the debonair aura that the ladies love.

The Smart Watch

Technology and fashion come together at its finest. The hottest wear are smart watches. They act as a mini iPhone or Android that is continuously strapped to your wrist. By the way, these devices are compatible to both operating systems. Raise your hand and cup you ear to answer a call. It reads the vibrations from your voice when you speak, activating the speakers in the back of the watch to initiate, allowing you to hear the caller. You have access to texting, GPS, music apps and more. They come in the casual style that have brighter colors and the more modernly sophisticated models.

These pieces add flair to all your looks, complete your wardrobe, and provide you with the basic tailored must-haves for every man.

Foods That Increase Sex Drive

Author’s Note: Please try to ignore the ridiculous amount of sexual puns in the text. Thank you.

Sex is one of the most intimate and passionate activities in the world. The original reason for the act was to multiply for survival, but human beings now participate in intimacy for purpose of bonding emotionally and obviously, having fun. For the sexual procedure to work effectively, it will involve the libido, which is the sex drive, or the orgasmic urge, feelings, and ambiances involved with sex. As you age, the libido can slowly diminish, due to mid-life body changes (or crises) such as menopause and loss of testosterone. Hormone or testosterone treatments are common substitutes for low drive; however, there is an instinctive method. It’s called eating.
These foods can help to replace the nutrients that increase that libido, making way for more “doin’ it”.
Chocolate
Anyone that knows me understands why this at the top of all my food lists!

The romantic connection between sex and chocolate is famous worldwide (Valentine’s Day). This is because the phenyethylamine and theobromine in the sweet, give you feelings of adoration. Phenyethylamine is a natural component found in the cocoa bean. It kindles the nervous system and as a result, increases sexual desire and function. Theobromine is an energizer that is kind of like caffeine and doubles as a mild anti-depressant by triggering endorphins, calming anxiety and stress.
Bananas
Bananas contain many special nutrients that get your pants dancing, such as the bromelain enzyme, also in pineapple juice. Enzymes make life-supporting cells. Bromelain aids in digestion by quickly breaking down proteins in your body. It also reverses impotence or a lack in the ability to reach or keep an erection. Bananas also contain protein and B vitamins, more precisely vitamin B6. This B rouses the androgenic gland, which is involved in the growth of the male testes and tells them to make testosterone.

Watermelon
Watermelon is a great sexual motivation boosting food that operates as a biological male enhancer. This tasty and succulent melon is packed with amino acids. On top of making that desired protein, it improves blood flow to the man area, by dilating vessels and bringing on an erection. Just a few slices of watermelon gives you the same exciting results as the little blue pill (yes, that one). Watermelon also contains oxytocin, a molecule that act as endorphins. This hormone effects human emotion. It is freed during acts of intimate interaction such as snuggling and caressing. Oxytocin is said to be the influence of strong relationships.

Avocados
Named by Aztecs as the “testicle tree”, its bared fruit, avocados have lived up to the brand not only by shape but also by the effects on the libido. Like bananas, they contain the B vitamins and proteins that get those hormones flowing in men and women. Menopause, which is the disturbance of the menstruation cycle due to the wearying of ovaries, reducing desire for sex and affecting the physical aspects of sexual interest such as vaginal moisture. Avocados lessen the impression of menopause by stimulating the thyroid gland, increasing arousal in women.

Heightening the libido is essential in bonding us within our relationships and for child rearing. As we age, the declining sex drive can cause problems in the bedroom and for overall health. Mid-life conditions make arousal difficult to reach, which makes the situation worse. These foods contain the nutrients you need to replenish that mojo.

Good Ol' H2O

This is a modified excerpt from a 2000 word report I did for a client on the benefits of water. I will be adding more sample of my health blog topics in the near future. This was Not the title....just sayin.

It has been discovered that water is essential to the beauty of our skin. It helps collagen to support skin tissue, along with renewing skin cells to keep them firm. It also clears dirt, toxins, and waste from pores, allowing natural protective moisturizers to reach to the surface of the skin where it mixes with sweat and lipids (fat) to create a hydrating wall. The skin is not the only beneficiary of water. It provides nourishment to internal cells and organs as well. Keeping you healthy from the inside out.

Weight and Water

Millions of people in the world are now monitoring calorie intake. Some are doing so to keep health issues at bay such as high blood pressure or cholesterol. Others are fighting obesity or just keeping themselves fit. Many of these plans recommend the consumption of water for nutritive benefits such as:

Cutting calories – the consumption of water before a meal will provides you with that full feeling, and reduces average food intake by about 80 calories. Replacing sodas and other beverages also helps to decrease the consumption.

Fat burning – water increases the metabolism, which is the speed at which food transforms into life-sustaining vitality. This in turn, allow you to dissolve more of that fat, which gets rid of that age defining, lumpy fat deposits in the skin, also known as cellulite.

Detox

Detoxification is another duty that water performs internally. This procedure cleanses organs and carries waste out of the body. Failing to drink enough water causes central systems to become worn or clogged. Bacteria build up in the bladder may lead to infection and constipation may occur. However washing away this buildup can extend longevity of life by preventing diseases from settling inside the body.

Oxygen and Water

Breathing is the process of drawing in and exhaling oxygen while carrying it to cells of the body through the lungs. Oxygen contains water vapor, carbon dioxide, and energy, which are made through the biochemical practice of respiration. During respiration, water is considered excess waste and is released into the blood. It then attaches itself to cells in the body, replenishing needed oxygen and nutrients.

Healthy Joints

It is also a natural lubricant for joints that relieves pain and inflexibility. Cartilage is the elastic tissue in between bones that protects them from abrasion and damage. It is a connective tissue that consists of 85% water, meaning that if you don’t hydrate enough, joints could become irritated and painful with movement. This could lead to more serious problems involving bone and muscle health. That is why maintaining physical well-being is indirectly dependant upon joint health, especially in the elderly. They tend to lose water in the joints more easily.

Health is the epitome of happiness. Water, the mystical, life-sustaining element, is vital to the well-being of every living organism and maintains that stability, which lead to a long and health-filled life.
What are some concerns you have involving water and your health and do you feel you are getting enough? Do you think the traditional 8 glasses a day sustain us as it did before the fitness fad emerged? Tell me your thoughts below. Happy hydrating!

The Relationship Idiot

Lacking the understanding of relationships and how to grow them are roots of the awkward
situations in one's social life. Those spots in time that are smudged by the inability to say what is in you. We miss out on this opportunity everyday. Then, expecting others to be honest with us emotionally and are then heart broken when we find they are just as much the relationship idiot as we are. Yet we continue to miscommunicate, taking for granted those who actually want to deepen their bond with us.

Maybe there is a fear of inconvenience, the thought of having to pay attention to a person other than you. Or, you're keeping that someone around to boost the old ego; reassuring you that you "still got it". Maybe they are there only to fall back on if the good relationships don't workout. Like a back up roll of toilet paper to wipe your ass on.

It could be that underlying thought of inferiority. By seeing how perfect one appears, another automatically feels not good enough. That triggers the competitive nature, causing the inferior to, almost without will, humiliate themselves by performing stunts and jumping through hoops to gain the attention of others or to persuade them that they would do well to give them a shot.

We all do this, and when they don't bite the bait, we become overwhelmed with self-loathing, secretly blaming them for thinking that the fake person representing us at that moment is not super cool.

But, there are things you can do to avoid the misconstrued entanglements that once were or could become a good thing:

You have to first be honest with you. No matter how much you want things to go a certain way, they may not. The situation may actually suck. You cant go around thinking that if you brown-nose enough that this person will discover how wonderful you are and come running.

If the situation sucks because you are wasting every one's time by keeping your mouth shut, Stop. It is never good to keep vital, relationship-saving information  inside of you, just because you have a mild case of relationship phobia. And if it will never be more than a casual friendship, state that. There is nothing that diminishes misunderstandings of relationships more than honesty. But try not to be rude about it.

NEVER settle for less than you know that you want...deep down in your heart. Just because someone shows you attention doesn't mean they have the correct intentions, or that they even respect you in any way. Being led on and dropped repeatedly, causes all kinds of hard feelings. And that doesn't happen when someone respects the fact that you have feelings.

Also, don't ever let anyone keep you around to break you down. You are valuable to the people who really care, not the ones that compare you to or boast about others in order to give you guidelines on what is expected. There is no one in the world like you, so do not allow people to put you under judgment of their standards.

Do not be afraid to say what you feel. You deserve to have a voice and may never get the opportunity in the future. The situation may be scary, but it is better to do, fail, and get back up than to do nothing and die.

If you have had a recent encounter with a relationship idiot tell me about it below. Just change the names to protect them. ;)

Smart Watches: O..M..G!

I was writing an article on men's fashion must-haves and came across this. I had recently viewed a commercial for it on television, but I paid no mind as to what it was, considering I'm not one to be glued to a screen, if you get me.

I love my phone. I never let it out of my sight and when I do, I freak out like I've lost a kid in the store or something. But, it is bulky and inefficient at times. If it starts ringing in my purse, I am never fast enough to get the darn thing out in time to accept the call. I am always looking for a better phone option, as I know everyone else is. So, coming across this made my heart sing.

It is a watch that does everything your smart phone does, while strapped to your wrist. It is some kind of intelligent little blue tooth. The prices start pretty low as well. They range in price from $55 to an average of $400 (I'm sure there are more expensive ones). They usually are compatible with both the iPhone and android devices.

I want it and thought I would share, because they are super cute.

Let me know if you have one and shoot a review in the comments below. I would like to know if they live up to the concept.

Sad Irony: Paul Walker

"Fast and Furious" movie series super star, Paul Walker was tragically killed Saturday afternoon in a fatal car crash. He had decided to ride with a friend to the charity event for his own disaster outreach organization Reach Out Worldwide. He was also working on number 7 of the string of movies that have defined his career.

Seeing his picture on the right column of my Yahoo page, I perked up because he was my favorite out of the F and F team. Not yet reading the headline, I had decided that he was showing some age, but was still handsome as ever. I was jolted when my eyes found the word "killed"...and in a car crash?! Then my heart dropped as I recalled how quickly things can change for any of us.

The irony of this devastating event left me inclined to share it with you. He will be missed. Comment below if you wish.

Catching Up With the Kardashians

Each season, millions of viewers grab their phone and scramble to the television to catch the next Kardashian break up as they religiously Tweet the action. I am not one of them. To sum my relationship with this hit E! reality phenomenon, I guess you could say that I am a Kardashian dummy. I barely know the names of any of them let alone whom they date or marry. There is not a single episode that I have fully viewed. Why? Well, that is a great question. I do know that there are other dummies like me. So, in order to get all of us up-to-par on the popular show, I have gathered the scoop on this family and their shenanigans, so you won't be out of the loop when your friends start raving over the drama.

The Back Story

This will be quick and painless so hang on tight.

Rich Robert Kardashian meets not so rich Kris Houghton and they marry in 1978. During their 12 years of marriage they have 4 kids ( Kourtney, Kim, Khloe, Rob) and Kris allegedly has mad affairs including the one with Bruce Jenner, Olympian cool guy, in 1990. And, yes he was on a Wheaties box.

Robert finds out about Bruce, develops anger issues, and files for divorce. After a nasty little tiff over money the papers are signed and not a month later Kris and Bruce are hitched.  Jenner comes into the family with 4 children of his own ( Burt, Brody, Brandon, Casey) which were conceived by 2 former wives.

Great, now I have that Brady Bunch song stuck in my head! Anyway...

Kris and Bruce ended up spitting out 2 more babies together ( Kendell and Kylie). Kris becomes an author and socialite in that time and they build a huge family empire. Robert moves on to defend O.J. on the "Dream Team" in 1995, remarries, and sadly passes in 2003 from cancer of the esophagus.

Update: As of the month of late 2013, Kris and Bruce have split. I am not sure how long that will last.

I am now thinking they should have started this show long before 2007, but there has been plenty of drama to make up for lost...um...drama.

Now for the Complicated Part: The Kids

Kourtney

The oldest of Kris' children, she is a college graduate, fashion designer gone socialite and business woman. In 2004, she starred in the show Filthy Rich, Cattle Drive for charity and has appeared in all of the family's reality shows. She has 2 children with long time BF Scott Disick. One of which was which was used to pull Kourtney into a scandalous paternity battle that ended up to be only gossip.  According to hear-say the couple is totally "not interested" in tying the knot at this time.

Kim

Kim is the second Kardashian kid and arguably promiscuous. As a teen in 2000, she eloped with 30 year old producer Damon Thomas. Then dated and did some dirty deeds on tape with Ray J (Brandi's little Brother) in 2003, but did not get divorced until 2004 which was due to the alleged abuse from her hubby. This was her first reality show. I'm kidding. After the taped was revealed in 2007, Keeping Up With the Kardashians debuted. Luckily The case of the amateur porno was settled out of court for a whopping 5 million bucks.

She since has posed for Playboy, starred in a movie (Disaster Movie and true to its name), was the producer of another reality show, appeared on various sitcoms, and was a contestant on Dancing With the Stars. She and her sisters also came out with a sunless tanning product, among other small projects and was involved in a law suit here and there. Has dated about a variety of known stars and athletes since 2007 including the 72 day marriage to NBA cutie, Kris Humphries. She is now  Kanye West and they have one child.

Khloe

The third Kardashian kid is an actress, fashion designer, and in many business ventures such as teeth whitening products, family jewelry line, and clothing lines. Khloe also has her own radio show called "Mix it Up With Khloe Kardashian Odem". Arrested in 2007for a DUI,  She was ordered 30 days jail time and alcohol treatment. Due to the horrendous overcrowding of the local jail, she was released in 3 hours that same day. She was sued in 2009 for assaulting a transsexual and was involved in a marketing suit with sister Kim. She wed NBA athlete jock Lamar Odem in 2009. They are still together and have no children.

Rob

Robert Junior is the last of Kris' original bunch. He is a business graduate and known executive , model and, of course, a television personality. He has dated a few actresses, some of which appeared with him on Keeping Up With the Kardashians (Adrienne Bailon). He also has SERIOUS organizational skills or OCD issues, you decide. Also Rob was a contestant on Dancing With the Stars. He was also involved in a scuffle with the paparazzi. He was charged with assault and battery among some other small charges that were thrown into the mix. He and the plaintiff has since, settled out on the case and the charges have been dropped.

Kendell and Kylie Jenner

These two youngsters have appeared, of course on the family sitcoms and have walked the runway for clothing lines such as Hello Kitty, Avril Levine, and designers like Sherri Hill. They have been featured in Teen Vogue, Ok!, and Seventeen. The Kardashian legacy has definitely rubbed of on the Jenner teens. They have their own official website, and even hosted red carpet events together.

Comment your opinion on the Kardashian bunch below!

Keeping Up With the Kardashians airs Sundays at 9pm on E!

"Sweetie" Decoy Brings 1000 Pedophiles to Justice

This is Sweetie. She is a virtual Filipino child created by the Dutch, anti-abuse group Terre de Hommes meaning in rough translation, "Earth Men". This program has captured 1000 dirty rotten scoundrels in their quest to pay for cyber sex with her and other underage children.

This is a widespread problem that plagues the online world every second of the day. Many of the children that participate in these acts are forced to perform for men after being lured into prostitution while in search of legitimate work. Many of the poverty stricken children led into this life are Filipino. Which made 10 year old Sweetie, perfect for the project.

Unfortunately, there are millions of predators that go unseen and continue to violate some one's baby on a daily basis. Hopefully, programs like this one will foil these disturbed men.

This video gives you a look inside the Sweetie Project. What are your thoughts on the project and is there a concern that privacy is being violated? Or, does it matter since a crime is being stopped? Comment below. Viewer desertion please.

Reverend Suspended By the Church For Marrying Off Gay Son

Reverend Frank Schaefer of Spring City, Pennsylvania was suspended for 30 days, Monday for the performance of a same sex wedding involving his own son.

During his response on the matter, he stated, "nowhere in the Bible does it prohibit a loving, homosexual, and committed relationship". He has also claimed to have been called by God to be an advocate for all gay, lesbian, transgendered, and bisexual people. He said that we are to love and care for everyone and stop hurting the children of God.

Now, I'm no pastor but I love research, so I took it upon myself to include some Bible verses on the issue of same sex unions and sexuality:

  • Leviticus 18:22- man on man sex is detestable.
  • Romans 1:26, 27- sex with the same gender is a shameful lust and same sex relations are unnatural.
  • 1 Corinthians 6:9- men that have sex with men, will not inherit the Kingdom of Heaven.
  • Genesis 2:24 and Ephesians 5:23-33- speak of the traditional marriage.
There were more but I got lazy.

What is your take on the situation? Should the Reverend be commended or suspended?  Please remember that everyone has a right to their own opinion and belief. So play nice.

Twisters Rip Away the Midwest

Devastation swept across the Midwest this Sunday, with a strand of tornadoes, leaving 6 people dead and many more injured. Entire neighborhoods were demolished in minutes, leaving little time for preparation. Many could only scamper to their basements and hope for the best.

By the time the chaos subsided, families stepped out on to the streets only to see miles of flattened debris, which once had been their homes and vehicles. Streets were unrecognizable. Also affected by these severe storms were Michigan, Indiana, Wisconsin, Kentucky, and Ohio.

Firefighters and emergency crews were dispatched immediately to clear rubble and carry out rescue searches. In the midst of the danger, local doctors set up emergency care sites to treat the injured, and even went out on recovery searches to find survivors themselves. In times of distress, the heroes emerge, even if their capes are only white coats.

How To Help
If you would like to inquire about donating to the victims of this disaster, contact the Red Cross at redcross.org or by calling 1-800-RED CROSS. You can also contact the Salvation Army at 1-800-456-4483. If you would like to be a local volunteer in the relief of the aftermath you can find many opportunities at http://www.illinois.gov/ready/after/Pages/Volunteer-Opportunities.aspx.

If you have a personal experience related to this story, I want to hear about it. Comment below. Any added resources and prayer shout-outs are also welcome.

Ridiculous Laws: A Series: Denmark

My first instinct was to proudly and sarcastically explain the bizarre North Carolina laws first, because it is only expected that I start at home. However, this “ridiculous” law intrigued me.  In Denmark, you have to, by law, check under your car for a sleeping child before you crank up. Strange but true.

I thought, there has to be some tragic story behind this law, but there isn’t. The only logical reason the law would be in affect is that the parents of Denmark allow their children to sleep outside. It is perfectly normal to see carriages sitting out on the sidewalks or in the courtyards.

Of course, in the U.S., that concept would spark fury in the hearts of women everywhere, causing them to, simultaneously phone Child Protective Services. There is even a case of a Denmark woman, arrested in Manhattan for parking her kid outside while she had a drink.

Do you think this is a justifiable law? If so, why? Comment below. I would love to discuss the topic.

Ridiculous Laws: A series: Euthanasia For Kids

I have been trying to come up with some logical reason as to why Belgium would expand the right of euthanasia...to Children, as reported today by NBC News. Apparently their government is okay with killing children in a Nazi fashion, but as a mother, I know that this concept is completely ridiculous.

Children do not have the brain capacity to make decision involving life or death. Most have no understanding of death until ages 5-7. if a child has a terminal disease, I understand (I use the word "understand" lightly) that he or she would be in pain and may be tired of fighting. But instead of actively killing the child, they could just stop treatment and provide the child with pain relief until they pass naturally and I say this not as approval for the death of any child, it is only in comparison to the situation. Even that would be better than suicide from a distance, or legal murder...whatever you want to call it. A grant is involved, which means doctors are actually being funded to kill these children. The parents are to sign off in approval in order for it to be done. I understand people are allowed to vote in Belgium, so I would think that parents would protest this idea in some way, since the lives of their children are involved.

Is this a reasonable solution to suffering or just a form of population control? Tell me your thoughts on this issue.

Venting

I am sick to death of people in this country acting like they are entitled to the services that the government offers and boasting about it! Yes, I am a single mother of 4 children and I HAVE to get some assistance because there are some people in this world that run away from their responsibilities and then refuse to pay child support. So I have to somehow take up the slack. It would be impossible for me to get on my feet in any sort of way without some help unless I clear $60,000 a year. BUT...I have Medicaid for the children and food stamps. That is all. I do not get a welfare check, and I ask NO ONE to pay my light bill. I work with family to make ends meet. I have been riding my bike everywhere to get a paying job (since my van broke down), but no one will hire me for the hours I need. I am still inquiring about jobs with no luck. I do not sit back and collect anything. I am constantly trying to work and do just fine struggling through the hard times because God provides... WORK! I do plumbing and electrical and I am a writer when I am out of work. I know that I have to stay busy or I could lose everything. I have lost everything many times only to climb back onto my feet a take the reigns again.

To those who are cheering because you get to live free off the people that are working super hard just to put food on the table, you need to stop making poor people look bad just because you're a mooch! Get off your....behind and start living. Your purpose is not to sit at home and look at the damn wall when you have children looking up to you. Show them how they should be, not how to be dysfunctional. I don't give a rats behind what color, size, or sex you are, stop be idiots.

And to the folks that are labeling ALL poor people as leaches, you ARE discriminating but not against a race. Against a circumstance and a financial level. You have no clue what many single parents have to do to make it everyday. I will do anything that is legal and dignified in order to take care of my babies. I am the only one they have. Am I entitled to services, no. I hate having to receive them, because it reminds me everyday that I cannot do it all myself.

Obamacare Enrollment Website Down Again

Early Sunday, the Obamacare website shut down due to (surprise!) more technical glitches. The data center lost its connection with the Government's data service hub, knocking out the database for the entire U.S., delaying enrollment for millions of people even longer. The administration has no clue when this round of defects are to be repaired but still claims to be able to get the site up and running by the mid December deadline.

So, the question to weigh on our minds is what happens if we still have no insurance come January 1? To-be-sure, the lot of Americans will have be dropped from their boss' insurance by then. There are people that have ongoing conditions to maintain, like diabetes and cancer, who have put their faith in the promises made by the President that they will receive "affordable" health care, people whose lives depend on being able to pay that co-pay.

Atheist Volunteers Banned in SC

In the not so far away town of Spartenburg, South Carolina, volunteers of a group called Upstate Atheists were recently turned from volunteering at a soup kitchen. The director stated that the ministry stands for the principles of God and claimed that she would rather quit her job than to allow an Atheist help out in the kitchen among other brass remarks. The shunned group didn't give up, and decided to take another approach, by making care packages and handing them out right across from the soup kitchen, raising over $2,000.

I would like to ask my Christian friends, do you think this ministry is actually functioning on the basis of our Lord and Savior? Would you have banned this group? And to my Atheists friends, does this story make you feel any different towards Christians in general? And to all, do you think that religion should be considered when signing up for a ministry?

Pink House Publicity Stunt or Genuine Tribute?

The evening of Thursday October 24, 2013, in order to pay tribute to breast cancer awareness month (October), lights of a pink hue were cast over the face of the Executive Manson and the Naval Observatory. This event is posted on the White House Blog, followed by statements thanking Obamacare for covering all preventative "out-of-pocket" costs for women involving mammograms and wellness checks, as well as no pre-existing condition restrictions.

As I read each piece, I started to wonder if this was a marketing strategy instead of a honoring survivors and families that have suffered because of the deadly illness. Does the president actually care about the health of women and doing what is necessary to push for that "cancer-free world"?

As women we need to be informed of the details of this plan.  so we aren't just looking at our government through rose-colored lighting, but knowing what to expect.

If you are a breast cancer patient that has signed up for Obamacare, I would like to hear from you.  How is the plan working in connection with your treatment and financial situation? I would also like to hear from women in general who receive preventative care under the Affordable Care Act. Please comment below.

Getting to The Bottom of It

In the Fox News report, Getting to the Bottom of It, the ever bold Bill O'Reilly stated that many Americans do not really care how our country is being run. He also noted that the only reason the Obamacare fiasco has caught our attention may be because it directly affects our healthcare and our wallets. Follow the link below to view the video:

Is this the Beginning of the End?

Super storms, meteors, plagues, wars, and rumors of wars. And to top it off, a comet that caused a surprise meteor shower is making its second coming. To add to the distress, China is buying us out and the government is breaking apart. All in one year. I am starting to hear neutral sources quote The Bible, relating this year's events to The Book of Revelation. Nostradamus' predictions are also being cited.  I want to know what you think. Is the Apocalypse among us?
